For 2024, the event required a venue that could accommodate a formal dinner while offering the space and flexibility for a lively afterparty. Exhibition White City provided the perfect setting, with its grand architectural features and adaptable layout ensuring a seamless transition between the different moments of the night.
This year’s event took inspiration from Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace, which previously occupied the venue, weaving a subtle roller disco theme into the evening’s design. With over 40 tables set across the First Floor, guests dined under dramatic lighting and surrounded by large-format screens that amplified key moments of the awards ceremony. The centrepieces – a creative twist on the evening’s theme – featured roller skates filled with flowers, adding a playful yet elegant touch to the setting. As winners were announced, they took to the stage to be recognised for their contributions, reinforcing The Revo’s as a key industry moment that spotlights annual achievements and sets the standard for excellence.
The evening began with a drinks reception before guests moved upstairs to the First Floor, where a formal seated dinner awaited them. Exhibition White City’s open-plan layout and high ceilings provided a striking backdrop for the awards, where winners were recognised for their contributions to retail and placemaking. The Ground Floor played a pivotal role as well, later transforming into a space for the afterparty. Dinner brought its own thoughtful details, with Bubble Catering crafting a starter inspired by The Apple’s Award category, tying the menu back to the awards themselves. With no need for excessive production, the venue’s built-in features – polished concrete floors, original industrial beams, and adaptable staging – created an atmosphere that felt both polished and effortless.
Once the final awards were announced, guests made their way downstairs, where the Ground Floor had been transformed for the afterparty. Exhibition White City’s flexible layout allowed the event to shift seamlessly from a formal seated dinner to a late-night gathering, bringing a change in energy without the need for a venue change.
The Revo’s 2024 proved how well the venue supports events that demand both structure and spontaneity.
